Red screes 24 peaks challenge

The 24 Peaks Challenge

23 - 24 July 2011

Your team challenge is to navigate across 24 peaks of the stunning Lake District, walking 31 miles in 24 hours.

This is up there as the toughest, most extreme challenge that will test your endurance and strength. It requires a high level of fitness, plenty of stamina and the ability to work together with your team mates. In just 24 hours you will achieve the enormous feat of climbing an ascent equal to half of Mount Everest. To take part your team will need five walkers and one driver to transport you to and from the start and finish lines.

This is not just a great challenge for groups of friends but is fantastic for companies looking for the ultimate team-building event that develops effective leadership skills, using initiative, working under pressure and problem solving abilities.

By raising money for the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS), you will be helping us to give every deaf child the same opportunities in life as any other child.  Without the right support, deaf children are vulnerable to isolation, abuse, poor self-esteem and low levels of achievement in school.  We believe that this is wrong, and with your help, we can make a difference.

When you sign up to do something different for deaf children you’ll receive

  • A dedicated contact to help with your fundraising
  • Help from our PR team to get your fundraising noticed
  • Exclusive discounts at online retailers
  • A free t-shirt
  • A post-event certificate once you’ve raised your funds
  • The opportunity to brush up your skills on a Mountain Awareness Day
  • A celebratory meal and knees up at the end of the event.

"This event tested us to the limit both physically and mentally. The organisation was first class and it's an event I would highly recommend to others" - Duncan Read, Managing Director, Pantheon Financial
