Take on the challenge of the London 10,000m run surrounded by the fascinating landmarks of the capital. The run will be held on the course which is expected to be used for the 2012 Olympic Marathons.
Three babies are born deaf every day in
the UK and 90% are born to hearing parents with little experience of deafness.
Deafness makes it harder for children to learn to communicate and they can
often feel isolated and alone.
By running the Bupa London 10,000m for
NDCS you are supporting our work with deaf children all over the UK and helping
us provide vital services like our Freephone Helpline. Often referred to as a ‘lifeline’ by parents,
it provides information and support that cannot be found anywhere else at a
time when it’s needed most.
In return for your hard work and commitment you will
receive:
- a
dedicated contact giving you help and support with your fundraising and
training leading up to the event
- exclusive
discounts at online retailers
- cheers
and support on race day
- much need refreshment and our personal thanks at the
finish line
So if you are already a keen runner or need an extra incentive to get fit then this is the challenge for you.
