Itinerary

Day 1

London - Santiago de Chile

Flight London - Santiago De Chile overnight.

Day 2

Santiago - Puerto Varas

We fly on to Puerto Montt & transfer to our hotel in Puerto Varas. Having settled in to our hotel we have time for a briefing on the week ahead and the bike fitting. There will be some free time to rest and explore.

Day 3

Puerto Varas – Puerto Octay

Approx 70km

Today we set off on our first day of cycling as we circumnavigate Llanquihue Lake (the 3rd largest lake in South America). We ride along the Eastern coast past Frutillar and onwards to Puerto Octay. Dinner and lodgings will be in a restored hotel dating back to the last century, on Llanquihue’s shores.

Day 4

Puerto Octay – Aguas Calientes

Approx 104km

From Puerto Octay to Aguas Calientes we ride alongside lakes Puyehue, Rupanco and Llanquihue with great views of the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes. Dinner and lodgings will be in cabins in Aguas Calientes spring complex located in Puyehe National Park.

Day 5

Aguas Calientes

Approx 48km

Today you're free to enjoy the complex. Optional cycling uphill to Antillanca Sky Resort and back.

Day 6

Aguas Calientes – Villa Angostura Argentina

Approx 89km

Cycling through the Chilean rainforest we cross the border into Argentina today. At 1,320m we go through the Puyehue Pass & continue through the beautiful landscapes of the Argentinian Andes. We cycle along the Nahuel Huapi Lake towards the village of Angostura.

Day 7

Villa Angostura – Llao Llao

Approx 99km

Most of today’s route is on paved road and takes us through majestic woods. We end the day cycling at 770m above sea level along Lake Nahuel Huapi. Overnight in Bahia Serena near Llao Llao.

Day 8

Llao Llao - Bariloche

Approx 65km

The final day of the challenge takes us on the Circuito Chico which includes Lake Moreno & the wonderful landscapes of Cathedral Mountain.
Tonight we celebrate our achievements with a Patagonian farewell meal in Bariloche. Overnight in Bariloche.

Day 9

Bariloche – Buenos Aires

Today we fly from Bariloche to Buenos Aires. We transfer the 25km to Bariloche airport for our flight to Buenos Aires. Free evening to explore the restaurants of Buenos Aires. Overnight Buenos Aires.

Day 10

Buenos Aires

Free day to enjoy Buenos Aires before our overnight flight to London.
