Changes to Gift Aid and your fundraising target

Gift Aid – Help us make your money go further
Gift Aid will count towards your target sponsorship on International NDCS Challenges.  You can claim Gift Aid towards your final sponsorship total, that’s an extra 25% for free!  Please note that Gift Aid will not be added to your account until the completion of the challenge and therefore cannot be included as part of your 80% deadline.

So, if your target  is £3,000, you have to pay in your 80% (£2,400) 10 weeks before you go. But, if all of your £2,400 was Giftaidable, we could make a claim for 25%, which is £600, bringing your total straight up to £3,000, you've reached your target!

What is Gift Aid?
At no extra cost to you, Gift Aid enables us to claim an additional 25p from the Government for every £1 donated by UK taxpayers.  This is of huge benefit to you and means the NDCS can raise even more money to help deaf children.

How do I claim Gift Aid?

  • Use Justgiving wherever possible.  This the easiest ways to collect your sponsorship money and gift aid is automatically added to the total.  Visit  Justgiving NDCS page and create an online sponsorship page.

  • If you do receive cash or cheques, make sure your sponsor fills in a sponsorship form, tick the Gift Aid box, and fill in their full name and home address (at least house number, street name and postcode).

  • If they are a relative, a company, a business partner or are not a UK taxpayer you cannot claim gift aid on their donation.

All gift aidable claims must be received by NDCS 1 month after returning from your challenge.
