I have had hearing loss since birth in both ears. I found out about Cycle Cuba through a national newspaper ad and something about it caught my eye. I found the idea of a challenge irresistable. As a novice cyclist and self-confessed couch potato, I was starting from a zero fitness level, so had to work very hard at my training.
The trip itself was wonderful - the hardest yet most utterley rewarding thing I have ever done. It was an unforgettable and emotional experience to reach the finish line. I cried!
