Tough Ness Challenge
New in the calendar for 2010, the Tough Ness Challenge is a 40m hike and a 30m bike along the beautiful Great Glen Way in Scotland. Teams will start in Inverness, overnight at the Inch Hotel in Fort Augustus, and finish in Fort William.
This is a stunning route through some of the most beautiful scenery in Scotland. For the less experienced walker, the Tough Ness Challenge is a good introduction to a long distance endurance event; following towpaths, an old railway line, the shores of the lochs and woodland tracks. Some sections are more steep and challenging with uneven terrain, giving exeperienced walkers the opportunity to push themselves and feel that they've earned their sponsorship!
You will need a team of 3 people for this challenge. All transport will be provided including a pick up from Inverness, free camping is included on Friday and Saturday night and bikes with helmets will be available for hire.
PLEASE NOTE THE MINIMUM SPONSORSHIP LEVEL IS PER TEAM OF 3 PEOPLE, NOT PER PERSON.Dates: 19 Jun 2010 - 20 Jun 2010
Min sponsorship: £3000
Event registration: £100
