You might be thinking about taking part in one of our events and are interested in finding out what the experience is like for the one of the participants. Here we have some comments from past challenges with the thoughts of those taking part.
We thoroughly enjoyed our walk. It was really well organised and the weather was very kind to us. Beautiful scenery - would love to do the other sections. It was also very inspiring to be amongst so many people all working together to achieve for great charities.

I wanted to do something for the NDCS that would not only be a huge personal challenge but also be hugely enjoyable. Cycle Madagascar was both of these things, it not only took me out of my comfort zone but also gave me the opportunity of raising money for a charity that is so close to my heart. With three hearing impaired children the NDCS has supported us as a family for over 13 years this was my chance to give something back. However the cycling bug has certainly bitten and I think this is the start of many more cycling challenges for the NDCS....
Fundraising for the NDCS Cycle Madagascar challenge was enormous fun. A combination of generous family and friends, car boot sales and selling my time to local businesses enabled me to raise over £3,200 for the charity. I was also lucky to have great support from our local press who followed my fundraising and training and consequently increased my sponsorship.

It felt pretty special riding into Paris knowing that we had achieved both the actual ride and raised over £3000 for NDCS, and that many of our family and friends had been very involved in helping us with this. In terms of doing something meaningful to celebrate 10 years of marriage, our wonderful family, and hopefully help to raise some awareness to support deaf children and their families, it pretty much ticked every box.

On behalf of Julie and myself I'd like to say a massive thankyou to you all at NDCS for making our dream of cycling Ride London come true. Since we signed up with yourselves we had talked about nothing else but Ride London as we we're just so incredibly excited about it.The ride itself was a totally awesome experience that I will never ever forget, a truly memorable day and having all the charities with their cheering points helps make it the iconic event it now is. I must say we were so excited and I was so pleased we saw the NDCS cheerers both on the way out and back. I'm also so glad that we got to meet you in person at the end as well to say thank you.
For me as an audiologist it was good to raise money for one of the smaller charities in our industry and help create more awareness to people about the excellent work that you do.
Needless to say Julie and myself are already in the ballot for next years and haven't stopped talking about the incredible weekend we had. Still on such a high from it.

I simply cannot thank everyone of my supporters enough for all the kind messages, sponsorship and good will I have had. I feel like I'm in a dream "I ran 26.2 miles in the Virgin London Marathon" I have been through a mix of joy, excitement, pain, relief, aches, tiredness and pride and you know what! I would do it all again...my son and many more babies & children will benefit from support, encouragement and love through NDCS & families.
Thank you everyone whom donated you have taken me through an experience I will never forget!!!
