I met a wonderful group of people on the ride, from all ages, shapes/sizes and we all mingled with each other. I hadn't laughed so continuously for a very long time.

The trip itself was just so wonderful, but such hard work! The heat, jet lag, aching limbs and a heavy cold made it tough going, but the enthusiasm and spirit from fellow trekkers (and especially from the tour leaders) were inspirational.

Machu Picchu itself was superb. I was concerned that the hype surrounding the "Lost City" might make it a disappointment, but in reality, it was far beyond my expectations.
