Completing the 24 Peaks Challenge in under 24 hours was a superb achievement for us, especially as the weather conditions were so appalling! The whole experience was brilliant and it left us on such a high.
Thanks to NDCS for organising such a life - changing experience, one that will live with me and the team forever. We learnt a lot about ourselves as a group, particularly how to get through tough times together, but the best thing about it was everybody involved raised a huge amount of cash for the charity.

After 24 peaks, over 13,000 feet of ascent, more than 30 miles and 26 hours 38 minutes of walking, the Lloyds TSB were thrilled to have completed the Lombard 24 Peak Challenge and have raised over £9,000 for the National Deaf Children’s Society.

Thanks very much for a fab weekend. My friends and I have had a tiring, emotional, memorable, gruelling time – plus lots more adjectives but I’m too tired to type. We have met loads of fantastic people e.g. Chris and Malcolm the mountain rescue guys, the NDCS girls and the rest of the teams.
Hilary Naylor, Lombard 24 Peaks Challenge 2007
"Just want to say on the behalf of my team what an amazing experience we had over the weekend it was the hardest thing I personally have ever done, but the most rewarding. Through out the two days we had our highs and lows and went through all kinds of emotions. My friends in the team were close before the event started but after we were much closer we all worked hard and each of us found it difficult at some point or another, but we kept urging each other to keep going even with injuries we were determined to finish as a team."
Andy Rolfe, Lombard 24 Peaks Challenge 2007
I just wanted to say thank you for all the effort your team put in to make it a very enjoyable weekend for us all. I am pleased to say that everyone seems to have recovered and there have even been muttering about another challenge!!! I just wanted to say thank you again
